A recognized authority in leadership and strategic organization management, Roz works with executives of prominent corporations on their leadership. At the core of her consulting practice is the belief that a company’s leadership – whether by design or default – profoundly shapes its ability to innovate and move to the forefront of its markets.

With this philosophy in mind, Roz developed a revolutionary model of leadership, an inspiring approach that creates far-reaching results. The model, based on interviews with over 80 top executives and her extensive experience in global business, was unveiled at the Wharton School in 2004.

As a leadership coach, Roz Courtney is distinctive in her ability to quickly spot opportunities for change and develop the capabilities that accelerate an executive’s leadership impact and business results. Powerful and effective, her firm’s proprietary programs transform mindsets, skill sets, and people’s lives.

A regular speaker and producer at company, professional, and academic meetings, Roz creates Signature Events that inspire and apply new ways of thinking, leading and doing business. As Coaching Consultant at Seton Hall’s Stillman Business School, she combines significant student-led business initiatives with coaching and leadership assessment to build exceptional leadership.

Named by The Wharton School as one of its “illustrious alumni,” Roz was founding co-chair of the Wharton Women’s Task Force, a global initiative sponsored by the Dean to advance women’s leadership in business. She is the only woman to receive Wharton’s Alumni Award for Distinguished Service, joining the ranks of notable leaders and CEOs.

Roslyn Courtney has been featured in Crain’s Workforce Management, Women’s Biz, Wharton’s Alumni Magazine, Knowledge@Wharton, and several other business newsletters. Her performance management, competency assessment and talent development initiatives won awards at Citigroup and were cited by the Federal Reserve and the Corporate Executive Board of the VIP Forum as a gold standard in financial services. She was the first to develop the Balanced Scorecard in the industry and use it to produce stronger performance.

Before establishing Roslyn Courtney Consulting, Roz was SVP of Human Resources at Primedia’s Consumer Media Group, head of Global Human Resource Development and Strategic Initiatives at Citigroup’s Private Bank, Director of Human Resources at The New York Times Company Magazine Group, and Organization Planning and Management Consultant at Kraft General Foods. From 1993-95, she was a board member and program co-chair of the New York chapter of the International Association of Corporate and Professional Recruitment, and chapter co-president and member of the association’s International board from 1995-98.

In all aspects of her career, Roz is an outspoken proponent of a business culture that combines integrity, professional excellence, and a quest to innovate and win big.
